The 2021 GMC Terrain comes equipped with a standard 1.5-liter gas turbocharged engine that produces 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and is capable of towing up to 1,500 pounds.
For more strength and power, you can upgrade to the available turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that puts out 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine can also tow up to 3,500 pounds. Each model comes with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is also available.
