GMC service

Your GMC car’s alignment may not be something that gets a lot of attention, but it should. Thanks in large part to rough roads in and around Trenton, over time an alignment gets out of whack, which hurts a car’s performance. These are the areas you should focus on to determine if your alignment needs GMC service:

Pulling to One Side

Because the alignment is instrumental in keeping your car straight as you drive, a very noticeable sign of a problem is if it veers to one side or the other. You can test this by taking your hands off the wheel – for a moment – on a very straight road. If the car doesn’t continue driving straight, the wheels are not perfectly aligned.

Crooked Steering Wheel

When driving on a straight road, the steering wheel should always be level. If it has to be moved to a different angle to maintain a straight course, this is another alignment red flag.

Shaking

If the car shakes when you are driving, this is another indication that the alignment could be off. This may mean that two tires on the opposite side are trying to pull the car in different directions.

Worn-Down Tires

Have you noticed that the treads on one tire are worn down a lot more than the others? This could be because the alignment is off and it’s putting additional pressure on that tire.
