If you’re thinking about a new Buick Encore, you don’t have to tax yourself too hard to figure out which trim is best for you. This is because there is now only one. Last year’s base model has been discontinued, which leaves the Preferred as the sole trim for 2022. The great news is that you don’t need to upgrade to get many advanced components.

Power and Performance

The Buick Encore comes with a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 155 horsepower. This is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but you can opt for all-wheel drive. This subcompact SUV is quite nimble and handles very well. It also has a fantastic suspension system that always ensures a comfortable ride. The gas mileage in the Buick Encore is great: 25 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway.

Space and Comfort

There is plenty of head- and legroom in both rows in the Buick Encore, and five people will fit comfortably. A six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and cloth and synthetic leather upholstery are standard. The cargo space is ample: 18.8 cubic feet behind the back row and 48.4 cubic feet when it’s down. The front passenger seat can also be folded to allow more room for cargo.

Tech

In addition to a user-friendly infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen, the Buick Encore comes with many other tech features. These include a Wi-Fi hot spot, two USB ports, and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Satellite radio, push-button start, and Bluetooth® are also standard.
