The lightest pickup truck offered by GMC is the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500. This vehicle is a perfect fit for everyday driving, but it can still handle light towing as well. It offers several engine options, including TurboMax™ and Duramax® turbodiesel choices. Those who select the diesel engine will receive best-in-class standard torque, a maximum towing capacity of up to 13,200 lbs, and a payload capacity of 2,200 lbs.
The cabin of this new GMC vehicle is focused on driver comfort above all else, offering leather seating and premium audio system options. There’s up to 40 inches of screen space, including an available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15-inch head-up display.
GMC Sierra 2500
If you want a truck that can do more than tow light loads, you’ll want to upgrade to a GMC heavy-duty truck like the GMC Sierra 2500. There are two engines for this vehicle, including an available DuraMax® turbodiesel V8 engine that pumps out 470 horsepower alongside 975 lb-ft of torque. You’ll receive an Allison® ten-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to its heavy-duty frame and upgraded suspension, you’ll benefit from an improved towing capacity of up to 18,500 lbs.
GMC Sierra 3500
The most powerful option available from GMC is the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500. This vehicle has the same two engine options as the GMC Sierra 2500, but it’s been uniquely tuned to deliver more power and handle heavier loads. You can expect a maximum towing capacity of up to 36,000 lbs. Up to 13 available camera views and an available MultiPro™ Tailgate Audio System ensure maximum versatility.
