Oil and Oil Filter Changes

A GMC oil change is one of the things you’ll have to schedule several times per year if your vehicle has an internal combustion engine. For older cars, the rule of thumb is to have your oil changed every 3,000 miles or three months. Newer automobiles can travel up to 5,000 – 10,000 miles between oil changes, depending on the type of oil they use.

You should have your oil filter changed every time you get an oil replacement. Failing to change your oil filter may require you to schedule another oil change sooner than you should have to.

Tire Rotations and Brake Inspections

A vehicle will need a tire rotation every 5,000 – 7,500 miles, or every other time it gets an oil change. Some cars may require a tire rotation sooner depending on the road conditions in their area and the driving habits of their owners.

Windshield Wipers

Car Battery Replacement

Extreme weather and driving short distances that don’t allow the battery to recharge are just two of the things that can cause your car’s battery to degrade. In general, batteries last between three to five years, so you should be prepared to schedule a car battery replacement every few years throughout your vehicle’s working life.
